Welcome to the website of Mutares SE & Co KGaA (“we”). The protection of personal data is an important concern for us. Below we inform you about the collection, processing and use of personal data when using our websites.

Personal data is all data that relates to you personally as a natural person or that can be related to you, e.g.name, address, e-mail addresses, IP address, user behaviour.

Service provider according to § 13 Telemediengesetz (TMG) and responsible body within the meaning of § 3 para. 7 Bundesdatenschutzgesetz (BDSG) [from 25.5.2018: responsible for data protection according to Art 4 No. 7 of the Basic Data Protection Regulation (“DS-GVO”)] is Mutares SE & Co KGaA; further information on the company can be found in the legal notice.

You can use our website for information purposes only and contact us via the website. Depending on the type and manner of use, the following personal data will be collected, processed and/or used:

Before we begin with the following descriptions, please note the following: By calling up the pages of individual providers with whom we cooperate or on whose pages we will link to inform you about their data protection practices, personal data may also be transferred to the provider – just like when you normally surf in the Internet. Mutares SE & Co KGaA has no influence on this.

Purely informational use

In the case of purely informational use of the web pages, i.e. if you do not send us information via the contact option, we only collect and process the data that your browser sends to enable you to visit the web pages, for statistical purposes and to improve our internet services. These are:

  • IP address (shortened by the last octet)
  • Date and time of the request
  • Content of the inquiry (specific page)
  • Access status/HTTP status code
  • Amount of data transferred in each case
  • Referrer URL
  • Browser
  • Language and version of the browser software
  • Operating system of the accessing computer

Use of extended functions of our websites

In addition to the purely informative use of our web pages, we offer services that you can use if you are interested, currently in the form of a contact form and the possibility of ordering the IR Service.

Contact form

When you contact us via the contact form, your e-mail address and the message and, if you specify this, your name and the subject of the message are collected, processed and used by us to answer your enquiry. Your data will not be processed outside the European Union. A corresponding reference to this data protection information is provided on the contact form page. Information that you enter via the contact form is encrypted by TLS and therefore cannot be viewed by third parties.

IR Service

Our IR Service contains up-to-date information on the activities of Mutares SE & Co. KGaA and its portfolio companies. To subscribe to our IR Service we use the so-called double opt-in procedure. This means that after entering your e-mail address, we will send you a confirmation e-mail to the address provided, in which we ask you to confirm that you wish to receive the IR Service. If you do not confirm this, your registration will be automatically deleted. If you confirm your wish to receive the IR Service, we will store your e-mail address, date and time of the request and your IP address at the time of registration and confirmation until you unsubscribe from the IR Service. This can be done at any time by notifying us accordingly; the easiest way to unsubscribe is to click on the link provided in each IR Service e-mail or by sending an e-mail to the e-mail address given in the imprint. Your data will not be processed outside the European Union.

Use of processors, transfer of personal data to a third country

The processors employed by us (until 24.5.2018: § 11 BDSG; from 25.5.2018 Art. 28 DS-GVO) may have access to your data when providing IT services for us. We select the companies working for us carefully and oblige them to comply with data protection in the event of handling your data in accordance with the applicable laws.

Use of Google Maps

The Google Maps API is integrated in our web pages to visualize geographical information about our location. When using Google Maps, Google also collects, processes and uses data on the use of the Maps functions by visitors to the websites. Google Analytics

Google Analytics is a service provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information collected by the cookie about your use of our website (including your IP address) will generally be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. We would like to point out that on our web pages Google Analytics has been extended by the code “gat._anonymizeIp();;” in order to guarantee an anonymous recording of IP addresses (so-called IP masking). At our request, Google will therefore only record your IP address in abbreviated form, which guarantees anonymisation and does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about your identity. If IP anonymisation is activated on our websites, Google will shorten your IP address beforehand within member states of the European Union or in other signatory states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to and truncated by Google on servers in the United States. Data security

We maintain current technical measures to ensure data security, in particular to protect your personal data from dangers during data transfers and from third parties gaining knowledge of them. These measures are adapted to the current state of the art.

Your rights regarding your personal data

You have the right to request information from us at any time (Art. 15 DS-GVO) about the data we have stored about you, as well as its origin, recipients or categories of recipients to whom the data is passed on, and the purpose of the storage. You have the right to correct your data in accordance with Art. 16 DSD-GVO; as soon as we become aware of the incorrectness of personal data, we will correct it. You also have the right to have your data deleted in accordance with Art. 17 DSD-GVO, the right to restrict processing in accordance with Art. 18 DSD-GVO and the right to data transferability under Art. 20 DSD-GVO. In the case of the right of information and the right of deletion, the restrictions pursuant to Articles 34 and 35 BDSG apply.

You can revoke your consent to the processing of personal data at any time. This may mean that the functionalities or services are no longer available to you, e.g. our IR Service.
